Jordy Nelson Named Comeback Player of the Year

Packers receiver and Inside the Huddle co-host Jordy Nelson has been named 2016 NFL Comeback Player of the Year by the Professional Football Writers of America.  After suffering a season-ending knee injury in 2015, Nelson returned to the field and led the NFL with 14 receiving touchdowns.

In Nelson's ninth season in the NFL he caught 97 passes for 1,257 yards while registering five 100-yard receiving games (tied for fourth in the NFL).  Nelson is only the second player in Green Bay history to record two 95 + reception seasons.  Nelson is only the second player in Packers history to earn the NFL's Comeback Player of the Year Award, joining Robert Brooks who won the award in 1997.

The award will be presented to Nelson at this year's NFL Honors Awards Show which will air on Saturday, February 4th at 7pm CT on FOX.
